From Elle Decor…“Spotted everywhere…colorful and cheery updates of the timeless pattern that everyone loves.” Polka Dots may not be one of your favorite design elements, but what if diamonds were the polka dots? This ring from Verdura features diamonds on a bed of turquoise…nice combination. (The beautiful cuff you see on the home page is the iconic bracelet that was designed for Coco Chanel.)

My first jewelry purchase was a turquoise ring. I wore that ring until it fell apart…both the stone and the silver setting. An article in the Wall Street Journal this weekend mentions that turquoise is moving from casual to sophisticated. Love the chunky cuff from Catherine Malandrino. (Be sure to check out her accessories…WOW!!!)

I was scrolling through the Versace Spring Collection and initially, I was drawn to some great black and white patterns until I saw #45 out of 48. You can see why turquoise is such a strong color this season…smashing!!!

Still working my way through the August InStyle I discovered Ron Herman. Simple, clean elements…I think that is why the featured item caught my eye. Bill & I see the same design challenge at the furniture market…knowing when to stop. We see so many pieces that are wonderful…but the designers just kept adding ‘stuff’ and then they become…’yuck’!!!
This necklace was on the Jewelry, Sunglasses & Belts page…have fun exploring.
