Still on duty with the boys. After spending two days at a swim meet, I am thankful my children chose other sports…30 seconds watching my grandson followed by 30 minutes waiting for the next event.

To shake up the January doldrums here is a pop of color. As I mentioned last week, the new Trina Turk collection from Schumacher was due any day. I love this quote from the spokesperson for Mystic Paint “With energy and warmth, but without the brashness of red or the excitability of yellow, orange stimulates the senses and even the appetite. Making it great for dynamic conversations in the living room, or delicious dinner parties in the dining room.”
I walked around the showroom looking for a bright orange to feature with this quote. This Trina Turk Sonriza print from Schumacher jumped out from the 80,000 fabrics we have in the Columbus showroom.

The Spring collections are starting to arrive. There has been a great deal of excitement about the new fabrics from Schumacher. I don’t know if it is the 6 inches of snow outside, the single digit temperatures, or the gray skies…but this fabric from Trina Turk brings thoughts of a warm summer day. (Could it be because it is tagged for outdoor living?)
