dolceegabbana_392x0The cover of Vogue Gioiello jumped out in a sea of predictable magazine covers. It was a wow moment…page after page of beautifully crafted jewelry and months of inspiration…all for…gulp $17.95. I debated for about…two seconds…and then ‘you’ll be sorry if you don’t buy me’ won out.  I felt better this morning, when I found the same issue on Ebay for $26.95.

While the first featured item is not jewelry, it tells the story of a trendByzantine.  The complete magazine is online so…set aside some time for browsing all of the ‘trends’…you will be captivated.

miriamhaskellThis cuff  from Miriam Haskell jumped off the page of dramatic gold cuff bracelets…of course, it was the most expensive on the page also…$570. I love the description: “Layers of Russian gold plated brass petals, filigrees and findings handwired onto cuff bracelet. Width of bracelet is 3 inches with a 1.75″ opening. The inside is lined with navy blue faux suede.”

verawang-kohlsThe Fall InStyle Makeover magazine features crystal necklaces with ribbon tie closures. How simple is that!!! They range in price from $36 for a Simply Vera-Vera Wang at Kohls to $448 for an Elie Tahari with a J.Crew for $98 in the middle.

Sorry, no photo for the Elie Tahari necklace. I loved the J.Crew jewelry page…inspiration galore!

duralee-redAt the fall furniture market the hot color was RED!!! The red was such a intense color it seemed to glow. At the Academy awards last night, the most prominent color was RED!!! The featured fabric is from Duralee. Due to the issues with photography and color changes on the computer screen it was hard to find a fabric that ‘glowed’…but a good rule of thumb is to follow  interior design trends for your designs.
