Our new year starts with two simple materials…hand made paper and recycled sterling silver wire forms. In the hands of Tia Kramer they go from simple to complex. While working on a project for the United States Antarctic Program she felt the urge to return to an earlier love…making things. In 2008 she relocated to Seattle and started making jewelry full time. Tia is an integral part of the Pacific Northwest craft community and her work is carried in many galleries and museum shops, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Getty.
