The September issues of the fashion magazines were waiting for me when I arrived home. I feel like a child again, dreaming as I turn the pages of the toy catalogs before Christmas My husband pointed out the featured photo from Ralph Lauren. One of the conversations at ‘art camp’ was the interest in chunky jewelry by the millennials. HMMM!!! This may be the perfect addition to my ‘Fall Collection’ and possibly my personal collection. Definitely, a we can do this necklace.

This photo from the Ralph Lauren Spring 2013 ad campaign stopped my page turning. I HAVE THAT NECKLACE…although some assembly will be required.
Sorry for the frenetic nature of my posts this week…it fits my pace these days. The whole family has arrived for our annual Easter holiday…11 under one roof. Chaos reigns…but memories are made of this!!!

Let us finish the year with a classic collection from the ‘master’…Ralph Lauren. ” The Modern Art Deco Fine Jewelry Collection is defined by bold geometric pieces made in 18-karat white and rose gold with diamonds, emeralds, green agate, and black onyx representing the sleek yet distinctive simplicity of the 1930s Art Deco era.”
May your 2012 be Happy and Healthy !!!
Classic & Elegant and of Course…Expensive

I was skimming through a magazine last evening when I came across a striking ad for a beautiful watch…simple, elegant and classic design. This also describes the designer’s collections from bedding to the runway…Ralph Lauren. This particular watch was inspired by the dash of one of his collectible cars…a 1938 Bugatti. Another feature that I found interesting and endearing…it is manual wind. Of course, the $13,200 price tag means my husband will not be receiving it for Father’s Day.

The skies are gray and the temperature is in the 20’s. That may be the reason the Town & Country photo editorial on traveling to Hawaii caught my eye. The Ralph Lauren dress featured was nowhere to be found…Oh Well!!! The tie dye watercolor dress gives you the idea of sun, sand and surf.
I will be anxious to see what Rebecca Gill does with this ‘inspiration’. The last time I featured a white dress with splashes of color, she immediately replicated it with the wonderful Stewart Gill products.

Furry and Fringie are the trend words for this fall. The oxidized brass fringe necklace by Iosselliani at baseworld is a good example. Even Ralph Lauren is in the fringe mood.
Denim or Indigo!!!

Indigo or Denim…it is everywhere!!! Bejeweled, tattered, stained, repaired…it does not matter…it is everywhere!!! The first four pages of Town & Country feature full page ads from the Ralph Lauren Collection. I definitely am going to explore muted indigo…it is everywhere!!!
Classic Ralph Lauren

The name Ralph Lauren and the words ‘classic design’ are synonymous. The rich indigo and bittersweet orange in the feature photo from Ralph Lauren Home jumped from the screen. The color blocks and zig-zag elements on the sofa ground the design. For design ‘pop’ the pheasant & animal print pillows are perfect…CLASSIC RALPH LAUREN!!!
