Originally from Warsaw, Poland, artist Ashka Dymel studied architecture and environmental design in Poland, the Czech Republic and Parsons in New York City. After working several years in the field of architecture she began to design small objects and jewelry. “Ashka’s approach to jewelry making is clearly informed by her architectural background.  She works with geometric forms, planes, volumes, solids and voids in order to achieve harmonious configurations.  A minimalist aesthetic and preference for clean lines are major forces influencing her work.  She also finds inspiration in 1920’s Modernist movements, such as the Bauhaus School and Russian Avant-Garde Art.”
