The featured photo of Mark Grotjahn’s Untitled (Circus No.1 Face 44.19) appeared in the Arts in Review section of the Wall Street Journal this week. Additional work by the artist may be found here. I am not certain why I was captivated by this painting, but my head has been spinning with ideas ever since.

The last of the Lehman Brothers artwork is on the auction block this week. The sale of major works of art at Christie’s and Sotheyby’s is predicted to net around $14.2 million. (The minor works were sold last year) The Wall Street Journal featured a fabulous piece by Mark Grotjahn. I am keeping the photo in my journal…great color study.
