Even though Jacqueline Ryan’s jewelry is often exhibited, she feels it is meant to be worn. “My works are not made just to be exhibited, they want to be worn, because it is the interaction between the jewelry and its wearer that gives a work its full functionality and awakens it to life.” Ryan is inspired by her love of nature and her appreciation of old cultures. Her signature technique involves the use of a piercing saw to cut through the metal to create repeated motifs.”
After a soggy Easter weekend with nine of us under one roof, we woke up Monday morning to blue skies and temps in the 70’s…finally beach weather!!! We’ve spent the last five days in the water and on bicycles, exploring and soaking up much needed sunshine. Oh Well…all good things must come to an end and we on our way back to Ohio…
