Oxblood is sooooooooooo old school…but it is HOT…HOT…HOT for fall!!! A full two page feature in the 2/16/12 Wall Street Journal calls it the new red. Well…I’m not sure how new it is…but it has been in hibernation for a decade or two!!! “Oxblood: This is a color we haven’t seen much of until now, but it’s a major look for fall. An intriguing deep maroon that is flattering to almost any skin tone was on runways at Sophie Theallet, Alexander Wang, Derek Lam, Tommy Hilfiger, and 3.1 Phillip Lim among others. It mixes well with almost any other color and adds drama, making it an investment-worthy color.”
