My jaw dropped when I saw the photo of Sara Jessica Parker on the cover of the latest Elle…LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!!! I have no idea what is inside the cover…I cannot move beyond the necklace. You will find more vintage inspiration at the House of Lavande...“The House of Lavande vintage jewelry boutique is a preferred destination for fans of collectible 20th Century costume jewelry. Find designer pieces from Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, & Chanel as well as significant items from popular brands like Trifari, Napier & Monet. Unsigned Art Deco and celluloid jewelry from the 1920s -’30s are also in this collection.”

There may be a break in posts for the next three days. We have a HUGE event in our showroom tomorrow…in addition…we are watching our grandsons for the next week…YIKES. I hope to eek out time…????

The article in Elle was appropriately entitled ‘Deep Blue Sea’. My Irish grandmothers would be very upset if  I did not salute green today. So here is to all of my wonderful Irish ancestors…ERIN GO BRAGH!!!

Why be original when Elle has the perfect title? It looks like the Spring and Summer fashions are going to be buggy. Some of these bugs are similar in size to the South Carolina state bird…The Palmetto Bug. (I’ve learned to coexist with them…barely) This ‘little’ gem is from Iradj Moini. Follow this link to more buggy fashions.

Love the combination of fabric with the spider in Aurelie Bidermann’s bracelet. The home page ‘scroll’ is fun to watch…terrific ideas. I found this bracelet in a an article entitled ‘Summer’s Soft Jewelry‘.

Forty-four photos of ‘get away‘ styles…how cool is that!!! One of the hottest color & fabric trends in fashion and interior design is denim or indigo. The cover of a recent Elle Decor is blue…blue…blue.

The blue and white delft pattern is always in style and perfect for dressing up denim. Love this porcelain necklace from Wunderkind. Looks like the ribbon closure is going to be here for awhile.
