Cheryl Campbell works in the field of energy medicine and witnesses this kind of energy exchange in her work. “What’s most interesting is someone will be attracted to a piece for a design element or colors, not realizing there are words on it. When I point out the affirmation, they are stunned the quote is exactly what suits them.” This aspect of her work became clear to me as I edited the photo for this post and read the quote on the bracelet. While my future may be cloudy right now with the uncertainty of what we are doing after we sell our house, all will be sunny once we get this behind us.

Michele Grady started making jewelry at a very early age. “When I was 10 years old, I made my very first ring from a piece of copper wire I found in my father’s desk drawer of his basement workshop. I twisted and bent it until my little heart was content. Then with a second piece I made a “matching” one for my little sister. I was very proud of these rings and I wore mine everyday no matter how green the copper turned my finger. Looking back, I know it was then that I fell in love with making jewelry. Little did I know that years later I would still be just as excited to shape wire and metal into beautiful works of wearable art. Those rings were the very first pieces of metal jewelry I ever made and I still have my little copper wire ring to this day. It hangs on the wall on a pushpin next to my workbench in my studio.”

The cover of the March issue of Art Jewelry has an amazing copper cuff by Eva Sherman. Eva has a very impressive background story…wife, mother, architect, jewelry artist, small business owner, teacher, 3 time cancer survivor, Hungarian immigrant, world traveler, blogger and soon to be author…WHEW!!! With that resume she is certainly worthy of a cover story in a variety of magazines.
