Toronto artist, Annie Tung, is presently in the Netherlands pursuing a masters degree in contextual design. Her online jewelry shop is divided into three categories: Art, Contemporary, Custom…each with a distinctive point of view.
“Like distant memories you can’t quite remember, dreams you can’t forget, I am constantly seizing the strangely familiar, the simple pleasures, before the memory fades. It’s a race against time, but when a piece is done, it is a welcome relief. As a multidisciplinary creative, my practice includes art-jewellery, sculpture and design. I combine these methodologies to capture the element of surprise and to create unexpected juxtapositions between eroticism and innocence. My intent is to create a delightful discovery or reveal a melancholic position that aims to inspire curiosity.”
