With degrees in both architecture and art from the Rhode Island School of Design, Carol Ware’s website has portfolios containing both two and three dimensional pieces. It is her Crush series that attracted me to the ‘other’ website Ware Jewelry Store.
“CRUSH is a collection of jewelry made from highly compressed cans. They are simple in their geometries and the crushing patterns and left-over colors make each unique. One day, while driving to the metal shop and looking at the cans on the side of the road, Ware thought “I wonder if I can compress one of those enough to make…………………….and the “CRUSH” line of jewelry was born!”
BTW…the featured item is gold plated…LOVE IT!!!
