Ausra Bankauskaite & Mante Maskiliuntaite, the artists behind aka jewellry, met at the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts in Lithuania. “Our goal is to bring more people to appreciate contemporary jewellery. Make it affordable and create a way of wearing a little piece art every day and show that jewelry can be not only an accessory, but can exist as a form of conceptual and contemporary art.

In our work we try to combine many different materials from diodes to medical pills. We are inspired by everyday life, habits and everything that is surrounding us. This is where we find our creative sparkle – an idea. Our passion is to develop the idea. And the result is our jewelry, witch always has something hidden underneath.”
