On Tuesday, one of the giants of the American abstract art world passed away at 83…Cy Twombly. One of the reviews about his passing dismissed his work as scribbles that any child could draw. When I scrolled through Google images for Cy Twombly I felt a smile forming on my face. His work is joyous…maybe childlike…but, the world could use more of that today.
Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband!!! He puts up with an artist/wife who’s studio now occupies several rooms in our house. To help celebrate, our Asheville grandchildren are on the way, as I write this on Thursday afternoon. Depending on the chaos this weekend…there may or may not be a post on Monday.
