The Rodarte fall 2009 collection is full of ‘patchwork’. Follow this slide show from style.com to see several themes featured…Goth-Metallic-Sweater Dressing-Draping etc. The common denominator through out the collection is patches of color and/or texture.
A description of the collection: “Rodarte’s main conceit was marbling. Pale leathers and silk chiffons were printed or silk-screened to resemble veined gray stone, then cut up Edward Scissorhands-style, collaged onto skirts and minidresses—like Frankenstein’s skin was pieced together.”
